Community Grants for 2026The Township of Georgian Bay Council Awards Community Grants Supporting Local Initiatives
TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BAY, ON – November 26, 2025 – The Township of Georgian Bay is pleased to announce the successful recipients of the 2025 Municipal Grant Program – for a total of $44,600 in community grant funding.
The following community organizations submitted their application by the November 11 deadline, with delegations to Council happening prior to Council approving the 2026.

GEORGIAN BAY, ON – June 6, 2025 – In response to growing public concern over firearm discharge on Crown lands, the Township of Georgian Bay Council is taking action to strengthen local safety regulations. Following Resolution C2024-199, passed on June 3, 2024, Township staff were directed to review and modernize the outdated Firearm Discharge By-law 91-105.

Township of Georgian Bay Catches the Wave of Sustainability with New Critical Catch Installations
Georgian Bay Township, ON: This weekend three of six Critical Catch containers were installed at strategic waterfront locations: the Basin of Lock 45, Honey Harbour Church Landing, and Port Severn Park. These installations mark the first phase of a broader initiative to help protect Georgian Bay’s pristine waters from discarded fishing line and plastic waste.
