Public Skating

The Township of Georgian Bay offers public skating at the MacTier Memorial Arena between September 21 to March 19.  If you would like to book the ice for a private rental please visit our rental page: ice rental.

Email the MacTier Memorial Arena or call 705-375-2140 to confirm public skating times.

Public skating guidelines

1. All skaters under the age of 10 years should be accompanied by a guardian.
2. No one is permitted on the ice without skates.
3. No food or drink on the ice surface.
4. No inappropriate behavior (i.e. behavior that may interfere with the safety of any skater such as tag, racing, pushing, tripping, and checking).
5. Helmets are recommended.

MacTier Arena Skating Times

• Monday 4:30 pm to 5:45 pm Public Skate
• Tuesday 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.  Stick and Puck (helmets required)
• Thursday 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm Public Skate
• Friday 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm Public Skate
• Friday 8:00 p.m. to 8:50 p.m. Stick and Puck (helmets required)

Public Skating and Stick and Puck Fees:  

• Child (6-14):  $1.00 
• Student (15-18):  $2.00
• Adult 18+: $3.00
• Senior 65+:  $2.00
