Partners for Climate Protection Program

In 2018, the Township of Georgian Bay joined the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' (FCM) Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) program. As part of the program, Sustainable Severn Sound created a Local Climate Change Action Plan (LCCAP) for its partner municipalities. The LCCAP guides our climate actions by:

• Increasing awareness of local climate change impacts
• Identifying opportunities to reduce overall greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions
• Summarizing both corporate and community GHG inventories and recommending GHG reduction targets
