Hearing Date: August 26, 2026, 9:00 a.m.
Location: Council Chambers and online via Zoom
The Council Chambers are in the Township offices at 99 Lone Pine Road, Port Severn, Ontario, Canada.
Official Plan & Zoning By-law Amendments
The Township is proposing updates to the Official Plan and Zoning By-law to permit additional residential units, strengthen source water protection, and make housekeeping amendments.

The Georgian Bay Fire and Emergency Services Department proudly serves our community when help is needed most.
We operate three fire stations in Honey Harbour, Port Severn, and MacTier, supported by a team of over 45 dedicated volunteer firefighters.
Our volunteers are trained to respond to emergencies of all kinds and receive monetary compensation for training sessions and call responses.

Stage 1 - Recruitment Information Sessions

Stage 2 - Application Submission
Complete the application form in the Recruitment Orientation Guide and drop it off at the municipal office.
Please be aware, that only selected applicants will proceed to Stage 3.
*If you are unable to make the deadline of July 31, there is another opportunity through the Joint Municipal Recruitment Program. Same guidelines as above.
Application Deadline: October 2, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
Stage 3 - Job Specific Physical Testing
Physical testing assesses your performance in various job-related tasks needed while firefighting. Only selected applicants who provide a satisfactory Medical Examination Report, Consent Waiver and Release Form will have the opportunity to participate in physical testing.

Please be aware, that only selected applicants will proceed to Stage 4.
If this date doesn't work we are offering another opportunity through the Joint Municipal Firefighter Program
Physical Test: November 7, 2026
The Fire Chief, with assistance from other staff members, will interview you as part of the selection process. You may be asked to bring additional documentation or proof of your credentials.
