Township of Georgian Bay Launches the 2025 Photo Contest

TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BAY, ON – June 20, 2025 – Do you have a great shot of Georgian Bay? Do you want to show off your photography skills and your love for this incredible community? Now’s your chance! The 2025 Georgian Bay Photo Contest is officially open and we're calling on all residents, cottagers, and visitors to help us picture the Township of Georgian Bay through your lens.

This is more than just a contest. It's a celebration of the places, people, and moments that make Georgian Bay unforgettable. From misty paddles and hidden trails to lively festivals and lakeside lounging.

"Georgian Bay inspires us every day – from its quiet, hidden trails to the energy of a summer Rock The Dock event. What better way to celebrate that than through the eyes of the people who know it best? This photo contest invites us all to share the moments that capture the soul of our community. We can’t wait to see Georgian Bay through your lens." Says Mayor Peter Koetsier.

Does this sound fun? Of course! Whether you’re using a DSLR, a drone, or your phone, this is a chance to flex your creative muscles, connect with the community, and potentially see your work featured far and wide.

How It Works: We’re accepting photos across six categories:

• Community in Action
• Hidden Gems
• Nature & Wildlife
• Events & Festivals
• On The Water
• Local Landmarks

There’s no limit to how many photos you can submit, however, only one photo per entry form. Multiple entries are welcome!

Submit your entries by 4:00 PM on August 29, 2025 at the Georgian Bay Photo Contest Application

What You Could Win:

All eligible entries will be entered to win a Georgian Bay Prize Pack and could be featured in official Township promotions. That includes:

• Welcome banners
• Trade show booths
• Posters and mailouts
• Website features
• Social media spotlights

Your photo could help tell the Georgian Bay story, beautifully and authentically.

The Fine Print (The Rules)

• You must be the owner of the photograph you’re submitting.
• Photos must be original and not AI-generated.
• By entering, you grant the Township the right to use your image in future Township promotions (with credit).
• Each entry must be submitted individually.
• Multiple entries are accepted – the more memories, the better!
• All ages and skill levels are welcome.
• Maximum file size is 15mb, original photo may be requested upon winner being announced.
• You must have permission from all recognizable individuals and children in your image.
