Becoming a Volunteer Firefighter

Complete the application form in the Recruitment Orientation Guide and drop it off at the municipal office.

• Application Deadline: August 5th, 2025 at 4:00 PM
• Please ensure you have all of the following submitted as part of your application:
  • Application (signed, dated, and fully completed)
  • Consent Waiver/Release Form
  • Medical Examination Form
  • MTO 3-year Driver's Abstract
  • Vulnerable Sector Search

Please be aware, that only selected applicants will proceed to Stage 3.

*A completed, signed Medical Examination Report must be submitted before physical testing*

Physical testing assesses your performance in various job-related tasks needed while firefighting. Only selected applicants who provide a satisfactory Medical Examination Report, Consent Waiver and Release Form will have the opportunity to participate in physical testing.

The Fire Chief, with assistance from other staff members, will interview you as part of the selection process. You may be asked to bring additional documentation or proof of your credentials.
