Municipal Core Services

The Municipal Core Services and Organizational (MCSO) Review is intended to assist staff and Council in assessing the
businesses a lower tier municipal government is required to be in while balancing public expectations, ensuring fiscal responsibility, transparency and responsiveness to community needs.

This exercise allows the municipality to create benchmarks, develop efficiencies, ensure competitiveness compared to other
municipalities and improve the services that the municipality provides.

Blackline Consulting was awarded RFP 2021-11 and began in the summer of 2021 with surveys to peers, residents and staff. The report was presented to Council January 2022 with recommendations.
