Public Skating

The Township of Georgian Bay offers public skating at the MacTier Memorial Arena between September and March. Public skating starts at 7 p.m. and lasts for 1 to 2 hours every Friday. Public skating times may change if there's a permanent ice rental.

Public skating guidelines

1. All skaters under the age of 10 years should be accompanied by a guardian.
2. No one is permitted on the ice without skates.
3. No food or drink on the ice surface.
4. No inappropriate behavior (i.e. behavior that may interfere with the safety of any skater such as tag, racing, pushing, tripping, and checking).
5. Helmets are recommended.

• Monday 5:00 pm to 5:50 pm Public Skate
• Tuesday 4:00 pm to 4:50 pm Learn to Skate
• Tuesday 5:00 pm to 5:50 pm Public Skate
• Wednesday 8:00 pm to 8:50 pm Adult Skate
• Thursday 5:00 pm to 5:50 pm Adult Skate
• Friday 7:00 pm to 8:20 pm Public Skate
• Friday 8:30 pm to 9:20 pm Shinny (no goalie, helmets required)
