Reminder to Register to Vote!

The Township continues to encourage residents and cottagers to check that they are registered to vote in the 2026 municipal election using Elections Ontario’s voter registration portal.

Electors have until end of day on August 12, 2026 to check, update, or add their information to the register. After August 12, all updates will be managed by the Township’s Corporate Services Department.

Both the Township and Elections Ontario are aware of concerns regarding missing voter information for non-resident electors. Elections Ontario continues to be working with their available data to ensure an accurate Preliminary List of Electors (PLE) is delivered to the Township on August 14. Once the PLE is received, the Clerk will review the list to ensure its accuracy.

To check your registration status, visit www.registertovoteon.ca. If you are unable to locate your additional property (such as your cottage) using the portal, you can add your property by following the steps outlined in this Elections Ontario guide. Elections Ontario is also encouraging electors to contact its team for assistance at 1-866-242-3025 or at info@registertovoteon.ca.
