Official Plan & Zoning By-law Amendment Open House

The Township of Georgian Bay is hosting an informal Open House, tonight, Thursday, July 16 at 4:30 PM to provide residents with an opportunity to learn about the proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law amendments before the statutory Public Meeting.

Planning staff will be available to answer questions, explain the proposed changes, and discuss the applications. As this is not a formal meeting under the Planning Act, there will be no agenda, no livestream or recording, and no decisions will be made.

The Open House will be offered in a hybrid format, allowing residents to participate in person or virtually. Those wishing to attend online are asked to register by emailing planning@gbtownship.ca to receive the Zoom link.

The statutory Public Meeting will be held on August 11, 2026, where Planning Council will receive public comments before considering the proposed amendments. A staff report and meeting agenda will be published in advance, and the meeting will be livestreamed and recorded.
