Georgian Bay Council members adopted a Code of Conduct to improve their accountability. This code outlines the ethical behaviour expected of Council members. Suzanne Craig has been appointed as our Integrity Commissioner (IC) to uphold the Code of Conduct (By-law 2022-001).

Ms. Craig has provided Council with guidelines on replying to emails which is available for the public to read.
How to file a complaint
To request a review of a potential breach of conduct, complete the Code of Conduct complaint form. Submit completed forms directly to our Integrity Commissioner at:

You can also drop off completed forms at the municipal office in a sealed envelope and staff will mail it for you. Clerk's Department staff can commission your affidavit but will not review or look at your complaint.
Complaints are not permitted to be accepted after May 1 during an election year.
Integrity commissioner reports provided to Council are published on the Council Agenda following the investigation to be received by Council and for Members to review any recommendations made by the IC; you may contact the Clerk's Department to request a copy at clerks@gbtownship.ca.
