Famous Canadian artist, David Milne, lived on Six Mile Lake and used the beautiful landscape as inspiration for his paintings. As part of a Canada 150 legacy project, volunteers moved his small cabin to the Bressette homestead in Port Severn. Restorations are planned so that the inside of his cabin will be safe for public viewing.

David Milne Walking Trail
The David Milne Walking Trail is a 0.5 km hike at Six Mile Lake Provincial Park. The trail provides access to the signature rolling rocks of the Canadian Shield that inspired so many of his paintings and sketches.
