Sleighing Hunger 2023 Campaign Launched to Double Impact for Georgian Bay Food Bank

Township of Georgian Bay, Ontario – The Township of Georgian Bay is proud to announce the launch of its first annual holiday fundraising campaign, "Sleighing Hunger 2023" dedicated to supporting the Georgian Bay Food Bank. This campaign, running from December 4th to December 31st, aims to double the impact of community contributions with a generous matching pledge of up to $10,000 from a dedicated donor.

Sleighing Hunger is more than just a seasonal initiative; it's a collective effort to address food insecurity in our community during the holiday season. The Township of Georgian Bay invites residents, businesses, and supporters to contribute to the campaign, knowing that every dollar donated will be matched, effectively doubling the impact of their generosity.

Mayor Koetsier of the Township of Georgian Bay, expressed enthusiasm for the campaign, saying, "Sleighing Hunger is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and make a significant impact on the lives of our neighbors. With the matching pledge, each donation will go twice as far in supporting the important work of the Georgian Bay Food Bank."
