Hauser’s Pharmacy Opens their doors to the first

Virtual Pharmacy in Canada!

MacTier, Township of Georgian Bay, Ontario – Mayor Koetsier and members of Council welcomed Hauser’s Pharmacy to their new home located at 21 High Street, MacTier, Monday, August 8, 2022.

Since 1980 Hauser’s Pharmacy is family-owned group of pharmacies that serve Hamilton, St. Catharines, Hagersville and Dunnville. As a full-service pharmacy, Hauser’s offers everything from prescriptions, medical devices and compression socks to hygiene, beauty products, and gifts. Hauser's believes in a patient first model of healthcare delivery and draws on the expertise of its professionals to provide best in class service and care.  They work with local healthcare providers and aim to fill gaps in the community while prioritizing the needs. Hauser’s is hoping to also offer immunizations and vaccines, among many other specialized services.

The Pharmacy will be offering a new way of filling prescriptions with a Virtual Pharmacist and full time Pharmacy Technician on site. The Pharmacist will be available for appointments to meet with patients in the private consultation room.

Mayor Koetsier was thrilled to welcome Hauser’s Pharmacy at the ribbon cutting ceremony this morning stating;

 “We are very excited to welcome Hauser's Pharmacy to MacTier, and especially so after learning that it might be the first remote dispensing pharmacy in Canada.  This is ground-breaking service being offered in our area, and we are very happy that Hauser's chose the Township of Georgian Bay to initiate this leading-edge approach to improving our health care.”

Owner Phil Hauser and staff of Hauser’s Pharmacy kept their spirits high, during this Monday’s rain, and are looking forward to a bright future in MacTier. Staff expressed how welcoming the community has been in the three weeks they have been open. Owner, Phil Hauser stated;

“We are excited to be a part of the MacTier, Georgian Bay community and look forward to bringing an best in class level of professionalism and standard of care that will keep residents and visitors in MacTier happy and healthy.”
