Township of Georgian Bay Encourages Residents to Use Digital and Alternative Payment Options Amid Potential Canada Post Disruption

Township of Georgian Bay, ON – The Township of Georgian Bay’s Financial Services Department is encouraging all residents and property owners to explore digital and alternative options for payments and applications considering a potential service disruption at Canada Post.

With possible delays in mail delivery, it is more important than ever to develop reliable, secure, and timely ways to manage your Township bills, including property taxes and permits.

E-Services Portal – Easy, Safe, and Convenient

The e-Services Portal is your one-stop-shop for online Township services. By creating an account, you can access and manage your accounts anytime, from anywhere.

To create your account:

  1. Use Google Chrome.
  2. Visit https://eservices.gbtownship.ca/
  3. Click “Sign-In”, then Sign Up Now.
  4. Enter your email, create a secure password, and follow the prompts.
  5. Link your property using your roll number and access code found on your latest tax bill. If you cannot find your most recent bill, please contact the office.
  6. Enter last name as found on the tax bill.
  7. Click Submit Key.
  8. Enter your information on the next form.
  9. Check Enable e-billing.

Once registered, you can:

  • View and pay property taxes, please note only by credit card and a 2.5% convenience fee will apply.
  • Track submissions and payment history.

Other Payment Options Available

If online access isn’t your preferred method, we’ve got you covered:

  • Pre-Authorized Payments (PAP): For property taxes, set up automatic withdrawals so you never miss a due date. Forms are available on our website.
  • Online Banking: it will require you to enter the 19-digit roll number.
  • E-Transfers: Send payments directly to payments@gbtownship.ca. Be sure to include your roll number or invoice number in the message. Also, follow up with an email to payments@gbtownship.ca with the answer to the security question and details of what you are paying.
  • Online Payment Forms: Use our secure payment forms available at www.gbtownship.ca for applications, and other services excluding property taxes.
  • Drop Box: Submit cheques in a sealed envelope at the Township Office drop box at 99 Lone Pine Road, Port Severn.

“With the possibility of Canada Post delays, this is a great time to shift to digital options or set up automatic payments,” says the Township’s Financial Services team. “We want to ensure residents stay on top of their obligations without the worry of late fees or missed applications.”
