The District of Muskoka provides waste collection services to eligible households. Services include:

  • Weekly and bi-weekly garbage collection
  • Sorted recycling
  • Green bin collection
  • Seasonal yard waste collection

Landfill and transfer stations

The District is responsible for the operation of landfill and transfer stations across Muskoka. There are two transfer stations in Georgian Bay.

New or replacement bins

Blue boxes are available for purchase at any landfill or transfer station in Muskoka, or at the District of Muskoka Administration Building (70 Pine Street, Bracebridge) during operating hours. Contact Muskoka Public Works at 705-645-6764 to get a new green bin.
