Response from the Township of Georgian Bay.

Understanding the details of Bill 23 it was concluded that Bill 23, the More Homes Built Faster Act, 2022 proposes to amend nine statutes, revoke various regulations, and enact the Supporting Growth and Housing in York and Durham Regions Act, 2022, the object of increasing the number of homes built in the province.

The Township of Georgian Bay has a number of comments on Bill 23 for the Honourable Steve Clark's consideration, as well as comments on the proposed changes to the MNRF’s Ontario Wetland Evaluation System and the Conserving Ontario’s Natural Heritage Discussion Papers which are outlined in the following pages. The Township of Georgian Bay has very unique aspects that set it apart from the other municipalities and towns within the District of Muskoka, the province and even the world.
