The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry – Parry Sound District is advising area residents that a Watershed Conditions Statement - Water Safety is in effect for the District which includes the District Municipality of Muskoka, the Territorial District of Parry Sound and a north-west portion of the County of Haliburton.

TSW (Peterborough, ON) – Please be advised that on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 the closure of Port Severn Road North will begin. The road closure will allow for the rehabilitation of the Bayview Dam E Bridge. Due to resource constraints faced by Northern Athletic Education Inc. (NAE) all of its athletic programming, including services out of the MacTier Memorial Arena, are canceled for the week of August 27th, 2018. NAE wishes to thank all those who assisted so that services could be provided to the community over the course of this summer. BRACEBRIDGE, GRAVENHURST, GEORGIAN BAY, HUNTSVILLE, LAKE  OF BAYS, MUSKOKA LAKES, AND DISTRICT OF MUSKOKA – On August 14, 2018, the Province of Ontario passed the Better Local Government Act which eliminates the direct election of District Chair in Muskoka.
