2018 Election Procedures | Notice of Nominations

Voting day is on Monday October 22, 2018 with polls closing at 8:00 p.m. You can vote by internet and telephone only; no mail-in ballots will occur. More information will be released as it becomes available, but for now, watch this short how-to video for casting your vote online.

Voters are able to come into the municipal office and cast their vote if they require assistance. The specific dates of when the votes can be cast will be determined in the near future.

Please contact Jessica Gunby at jgunby@gbtownship.ca or 1-800-567-0187 x242 to ensure you are part of the Voter Database. You'll be able to check for yourself using online tools by July 2018. 

Candidate Information Session:

Get more information on running for Mayor, Councillor or School Board Trustee at a free Candidate Information Session. The free session includes information on:

  • Roles and responsibilities of candidates and third-party advertisers
  • Nomination process
  • Eligibility rules
  • Campaign finances and resources

The event will be held on April 5 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the District of Muskoka's Council Chamber (70 Pine Street, Bracebridge).
